Call for Working Groups - Center for ELSI Resources & Analysis (CERA)

To address emerging, high priority, and understudied ethical, legal, and social implications of genetics research (ELSI) issues and to enhance collaborations across institutions, the Center for ELSI Resources and Analysis (CERA) is pleased to call for proposals its second round of CERA Working Groups. The CERA will support up to two new Working Groups at a level of up to $20,000 over two years.

Initial proposals for CERA Working Groups are due October 15, 2021. Finalists will be notified on November 15, 2021 and invited to submit full proposals due December 31, 2021. Awardees will be notified by February 28, 2022. Final reports of funded working groups will be due March 30, 2024. Please click below for full details and to apply:

Pilot Grants Available - Columbia Center for Research on Ethical, Legal and Social Implications (ELSI) of Psychiatric, Neurologic and Behavioral Genetics

Pilot grant awards for Columbia faculty, post-docs, trainees, and graduate students are available, up to a maximum of $40,000. The awards are designed to support pilot empirical or conceptual work on ethical, legal, economic, and social issues related to advances in genetics.  Application is due Sept 15, 2021 - click here for full details and to apply.
