New Staff Q&A with Felicia Reid, MPS

April 13, 2026

Welcome to the Division of Ethics, Felicia Reid. Who are you?

Thank you! I am the new Senior Communications Specialist.

What are you most excited about in joining the Division of Ethics?

I’m especially excited to support work that sits at such an important intersection of research, ethics, and real-world impact. There’s something meaningful about helping amplify conversations around genetics, health, and society in a way that is both accessible and thoughtful.

What led you to this position, what was your academic/career trajectory?

I hold a Master’s in Design Management and Communications from Georgetown University, did my undergraduate degree in Information Systems at Brooklyn College, and completed graduate-level graphic design training through NYU. Over the past decade, I have worked across nonprofit and healthcare spaces, leading communications that blend strategy with empathy. When I saw this role, it felt like a natural alignment of my skills and values.

What is one bioethical issue or topic that interests you?

I am particularly interested in how complex genetic and health information can be communicated in equitable and accessible ways that foster trust and informed decision-making.

Outside of work, what are you passionate about?

I am passionate about creative expression, personal growth, and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy travel, fitness, reading, live music, and caring for my plants.
