Medical schools have sought to incorporate concepts of race and racism in their curricula to facilitate students’ abilities to grapple with healthcare disparities in the United States; however, these efforts frequently fail to address implicit bias or equip students with cultural humil- ity, reflective capacity, and interpersonal skills required to navigate racialized systems in healthcare.
