BJCP Call for Papers

Clinical Pharmacology at large:

BJCP calls for papers for a clinical pharmacology-flavoured medical humanities section.

The call is for poetry, essays, editorials, or commentaries on personal experience, multimedia art, culture, literature, history, anthropology, sociology, political science, ethics, or philosophy, which highlight the multifaceted interactions between clinical pharmacology and society. We also welcome submission of visual art which reflects these themes. The scope is intentionally broad to encourage creative and innovative dialogue on wide-ranging interactions outside of the usual scope of scientific evidence base relevant to clinical therapeutic use.

  • If you wish to discuss a topic in advance you can contact the editorial team and we will be happy to liaise and advise as to suitability (Executive Editor: Emma Magavern, Editor in Chief: Serge Cremers BJCPedoffice@wiley.com).
  • In the case of an article, a maximum word count to be considered is 4,000 words and a maximum of three tables or figures. An abstract should be included. For publications of poems or multi-media art forms, an abstract is not required.
  • Please submit a cover letter specifying that the submission is to the ‘Clinical Pharmacology at large’ series.
